| The UNA of Hungary had its quinquennial General Assembly on 2 February 2010 at the Budapest Corvinus University. A new 15-member Presidium and new 97-member Governing Council have been elected. Prof. Mihály Simai, Honorary President of WFUNA, heads the new Presidium. Dr. Ervin Gömbös, Secretary-General of the UNA (and Vice-President of WFUNA) was also re-elected. | To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Uprising, the regional office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Budapest has presented to the press the archive photo collection "Hungarian Refugees in Austria after 1956" in the Headquarters of the UN Association of Hungary. The majority of the 41 photos – which were distributed on DVD – were taken in Austria, because more than 90 percent of the Hungarian refugees (close to 200 thousand) left their homeland through the western neighbor.
